Applause Japanese Restaurant 讚和食料理

I always drove by Applause but have never really paid any attention to it. To be honest, it doesn't look that appealing from the outside and unless you live in the neighborhood, you would probably not pay a special visit to this place. I heard good things about their bento box, so, why not ? 

Very simple interior , but quite an extensive menu. 

We ordered the dinner box, of course. And some pressed sushi. The dinner box is for sure worth blogging about ! I'd say it's a great deal for what it is. It comes with a salad and the sashimi selection in the box were extremely fresh ! I'm not a big fan of deep fried stuff like Tempura, but these tempura are very meaty - instead of those that are wrapped around with a thick layer of flour.

The pressed sushi were good, but not overly impressive. 

I love uni. I order uni whenever I see one. Applause's uni sushi were SO FULL OF UNI as though they got a huge discount when purchasing it themselves. The quality was not discounted though, these are two big fat uni sushi that are rare in these kind of casual, simple Japanese restaurants.

Lastly, the green tea ice cream ! Always a fresh treat after a satisfying meal :)
