Where to stay - Parq Vancouver JW MARRIOTT

I was beyond excited when invited to a staycation at Vancouver's newest and trendiest hotel - Parq. I've seen so many of its photos touring around the Instagram world, so at least I knew two things before even set foot in Parq.

1st, it's incredibly beautiful.
2nd, it's a one stop resort where you can stay, dine, play, and relax !

So let's talk first talk about stay :

Parq Vancouver has two separate hotels, side by side, linking together by a short hallway.

One is The Douglas, and the other is where we stayed - JW MARRIOTT

JW Marriott Parq Vancouver is located in the city’s vibrant urban entertainment resort, Parq Vancouver. Crafted to meet LEED Gold standard and designed by acclaimed Studio Munge, Parq features a collection of 329 exquisite guest rooms; including 44 suites, 3 luxury suites and a striking two-floor villa. Savour a rejuvenating treatment in the Spa by JW, invigorate your morning in our state-of-the art fitness studio, and enjoy eight perfectly orchestrated restaurants and lounges.

My first impression of the hotel was that everything was so new, there was absolutely nothing that was even close to being outdated - not the design, not the service, not the restaurants - every detail was sparkling with the excitement that only a new hotel can radiate.

The space was also very symmetrical ! I think this is one of the design elements that allow the place to have so much going on, but does not look messy at all. Every direction I looked, I saw symmetry, and was quite impressed !

On our way to our room, I couldn't help but kept noticing just how contemporary and bright the hotel is. The hallway is well-lit by natural light, with a very minimalist, clean, and classy design.

Our room was the King's room with water view, over looking the False Creek and Science World globe. It was so nice to just lounge by the window where I could see people doing water activities, and even dogs playing in the park near by.

Our king bed was comfortable with a fresh linen scent. The only thing I would add here is more of those comfortable, fluffy pillows :)

In room amenities were luxurious as well :

We had another media tasting the night of our stay so didn't get to try their room service, otherwise, that's my favorite part of staycations !

We did try one of their restaurants the next morning though - we had brunch at the Honey Salt. The most notable thing we ordered was the DIY Caesar drink. It came on a cart with allllllllll the ingredients you can add to your drink. I basically added everything because I'm extra like that and it tasted incredible !

The rest of the food was good too :

The restaurant's interior was also very clean and instagrammable to say the least. It has a french country vibe to it, but nonetheless modern and upscale.

The PLAY part of Parq was contributed by its own casino. I don't know how to gamble, at all. But it felt great to just walk through the poker tables and slot machines - It felt like a mini vacay in Vegas ! And that always feels good.

Another thing I loved about Parq was its convenient location. It's located close to Vancouver's favorite restaurants and bars, also many touristy attractions if you are traveling from abroad.

Overall, we really enjoyed our staycation at Parq. It's a well-rounded resort that provided us a luxurious weekend. I highly recommend it :)
